Orson Scott Card (autor de El Juego de Ender) va a ganar millones con el próximo estreno de la película basada en su obra maestra. Y creo que es importante que sepáis a quién le estáis regalando vuestro dinero antes de ir al cine o comprarla en DVD/BluRay (o incluso en papel).
El señor Card pertenece a la religión mormona y dedica sus ratos libres a luchar contra los derechos de los homosexuales. A continuación le cito hablando sobre el tema:
"Así que si insisten en llamarlo 'matrimonio' no están convirtiendo su relación en lo que mi mujer y yo hemos creado, porque ningún tribunal tiene el poder de cambiar lo que su relación es en realidad."
"Me están robando lo que más quiero y no están ganando nada para sí. No van a estar casados. Sólo estarán jugando a disfrazarse con las ropas de sus padres."

Para los que no hayáis tenido contacto con asociaciones de cualquier tipo os cuento cómo va esto: este señor se junta a hablar con otros que tienen tanto odio dentro como él, publican artículos, hacen fiestas y gastan dinero en intentar que las leyes que no les gustan no salgan adelante. Y así, parte de tu dinero puede acabar promoviendo conductas restrictivas que (de una forma velada) nos pueden hacer volver atrás en el tiempo y pueden provocar más violencia y discriminación de todo tipo.
Conozco un montón de personas que al sacarles el tema dicen que exageras, que prefieren no pararse a pensar sobre algo que no les afecta directamente, pero así es como se perpetúan las injusticias. Los pequeños actos tienen consecuencias, y si un artículo puede inclinar la balanza un 'yo no pago para ver esa película' también.

Buf, que horror, yo me alegro de haberme descargado el libro por internet y no haberle regalado ni un céntimo...

Pues sí. Yo me lo compré hace años cuando no me sonaba ni el nombre de él, pero ahora por muy guapo que me lo pongan ya no cae nada más. Lo que me da rabia es que la historia es genial, me cuesta tanto entender estas cosas a veces...
